The machine in question is a newer Dell and it doesnt like the old version of Windows 7, so it wont connect to the network. Therefore, asking Windows to download directly is not a solution. Instead, Im downloading the SP on a different computer and copying the files to the new Dell. Whether it is necessary to install SP1 prior to installing Dell Drivers is debatable, but this is what Im trying to do. The responses to this question may solve a different problem very well, but like the original poster, I would also be interested in how I would know which SP1 is the correct version for my system.
